Scottsboro Animal Shelter

Our shelter is a very small facility that has been located here in Scottsboro for over 20 years. We have a very limited number of runs and that only allows us to keep animals for 7 days. We have a very high euthanasia rate and would like to improve adoption rate. Our shelter does not have a waiting list , we try to place our dogs in the best possible homes. We require all of our dogs to be spayed/neutered , have shots and a heartworm check from our local vet before the adoption can be processed.

TEARS The Emergency Animal Rescue Service

Because TEARS was designed for injury rescue , we take in the most severe cases usually. Our vet bills are our biggest expense and run into the thousands every month. We receive no funding from the city, county or state and rely 100% on donations from the public.

Today's Treasures Rescue and Adoption

Today's Treasures Rescue and Adoption (TTRA) is a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping discarded pets find permanent forever homes. Because there is an abundance of homeless animals in Alabama, we have chosen, as a starting point, the animals in Chilton County. We rescue pets from the often overcrowded Humane Society in Clanton. We attempt to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. Today's Treasures is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
