For Cat's Sake! Cat & Kitten Rescue & AdoptionFor Cat's Sake! Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned cats and kittens. We do not have a physical shelter, but rather a network of caring, qualified foster homes. We provide our cats with veterinary care, spays and neuters, loving foster homes and finally adopt them into permanent homes. To date we have rescued over 1,200 cats and kittens. Greenfield/Hancock County Animal ControlWe are a city and county funded shelter that is dedicated to public safety and animal rescue. We continue to work to control the animal population within our area, by requiring all animals adopted from our facility be spay or neutered. With this program we hope to reduce the rate of euthanasia. Our staff is always available to educate the public about the health and welfare issues of animals, and enforce cruelty and neglect laws as well as ordinances within our city and county. We also work hard to reunite lost and stray pets with their owners and promote new and responsible pet ownership. If you lose your pet please make every effort to find them. Visit your local Animal Control Shelter and all surrounding shelters, post signs, posters with veterinarians and stores, as well as ads in the newspapers.
