City of Weatherford-Parker County Animal ShelterThe City of Weatherford-Parker County Animal Shelter is a joint venture between the City of Weatherford and Parker County. We moved into our new shelter in January 2001, which increased our kennels to 70. We also utilize 20 additional cat kennels. Saide AcresWe have an average of 20 to 35 dogs at any point of time, and an average of 5 to 15 cats. We have kennels and large cat house's for the cats,so no body is caged up. That way they have more room to stretch their legs. We try to spend as much one on one time with each of the cats and dogs so they become more social.
