Cullman County Animal Control & Shelter

We are currently the only Animal Shelter in Cullman County. We are a County Animal Control and Animal Shelter. We accept animals both stray and owner surrender from all of Cullman County, including the municipalities within the county. We mainly take dogs and cats but have been known to take in a little bit of everything. We rely heavily on donations of food, litter, paper towels, vaccinations, wormer, bleach etc. to keep this facility operating at its best. If you are willing to donate any of the above items, please feel free to come by or call. We have a very aggressive adoption program and try to place as many of our pets as possible. We have a few foster homes that care for some of our animals as well. However, we NEED more responsible volunteers in this area willing to open their homes to a foster pet. If you are interested in pursuing this please contact us and speak with Candie. Also we need volunteers on a daily basis for different things. If you have some free time and would like to make a difference in the life a an animal, please contact us. Our adoption rates are $90 for dogs/puppies and $65 for cats/kittens. This price includes the rabies vaccine and the spay or neuter of your new pet. Also whenever available by generous donation, we deworm the pet and give proper vaccines to get you started. This is not included in the adoption just something we throw in for the health of your new pet whenever we have vaccines on hand. Our business hours are Mon-Fri 9 am till 3:30 pm and most Sat 9 am till 12 noon. We do close one weekend a month so we recommend calling before you come on a Saturday to make sure we are here.

2nd Chance Animal Sanctuary

2nd Chance Animal Sanctuary is a 65 acre sanctuary for animals of all species. It is the life long dream of its founders and was fashioned after the Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. At 2nd Chance Animal Sanctuary, we believe we CAN make a difference in the lives of hundreds of homeless, abused and neglected animals - One animal at a time. Our policy is a true "no kill", no euthanization. The animals we host at 2nd Chance Animal Sanctuary are free to stay as long as they need to, until you provide their "forever home".

Today's Treasures Rescue and Adoption

Today's Treasures Rescue and Adoption (TTRA) is a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping discarded pets find permanent forever homes. Because there is an abundance of homeless animals in Alabama, we have chosen, as a starting point, the animals in Chilton County. We rescue pets from the often overcrowded Humane Society in Clanton. We attempt to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. Today's Treasures is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Animals on this site are at a local veterinarians office, in a foster home or in a shelter. All adoptions through AARescue must be approved. We take pet adoptions very seriously.
