Sirius Stars Canine Rescue

Sirius Stars Canine Rescue is a small not-for-profit dog rescue operated by an extended animal-loving family living in York and Adams Counties, Pennsylvania. We do not operate a shelter, but rather, all of our dogs are fostered at private homes. Our mission is to find the best and final home for unwanted and neglected dogs rescued primarily from high kill animal control facilities. We love dogs, and we are searching for other dog lovers who will open their hearts and homes to these, the neediest of God's creatures.

Sled Dog Sanctuary, Inc.

Sled Dog Sanctuary is a family run Non Profit Corporation devoted to the care and welfare of unwanted and abandoned Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. We consist entirely of volunteers. We provide foster care and medical treatment to these dogs while screening potential homes. Our goal is to match these dogs with the “right family, and place them into loving, forever homes. We strive to educate people about these wonderful, yet sometimes misunderstood breeds.

Spanky's Project: Education Rescue for Canines

Spanky's Project is dedicated to finding homes for kennel dogs whether the kennel is large scale or only a few dogs. We work with breeders to help make them aware that there are other alternatives for them to choose instead of euthanizing, advertising "for Free" in the classifieds, selling for research, or to be uses as bait for dog fighting.

Spay and Save

Spay and Save is a nonprofit organization, classified under Section 501(c)(3) by the IRS. We are volunteers dedicated to animals and the people who help animals. We have been in operation since 1981, and serve Philadelphia and the five county area. We provide low cost neuter/spay certificates to those in need. We also provide help to elderly or handicapped people who are unable to help their own pets, offering transportation to the vet and furnishing food from our food bank. We also place many abandoned dogs and cats. Our volunteers are constantly working to place animals in adoptive loving homes through advertising and word of mouth. Our program even extends to the remote areas of Chester and Bucks County horsebarns. We deliver and acclimate barn cats who are welcome and wanted for rodent control.
