Mountain State Boxer Rescue, Inc.MSBR is a West Virginia Corporation with 501(c)(3) tax deductible status that was formed in 2001 by a group of Boxer dog loving people. We spend a great deal of time, money and energy saving individual Boxer dogs from certain death in West Virginia shelters and dog pounds. MSBR volunteers take in abandoned and unwanted Boxers and foster them in their homes while helping the dog become adoptable. All rescue dogs are given a thorough medical exam and are vaccinated, heartworm tested and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. The dogs are crate and housetrained and taught basic obedience commands while in care. All dogs are tested for compatability with other dogs, cats and children. Pendleton Animal Welfare ShelterPendleton Animal Welfare Shelter (PAWS) of Pendleton Co., WV was formed in April, 2005 by a group of concerned Pendleton County residents. There has never been an animal shelter in Pendleton prior, not even a dog pound! We have been able to save some pets over this time, but would like to increase our capacity and effectiveness because there are many more pets we are unable to help due to a lack of funding and we are the only option for homeless animals in Pendleton. Though we are are relatively new, we do have our 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status, so all donations are tax deductible and used to pay veterinary bills and basic costs like phone, supplies, kennels & crates.
