 | | | | The Klamath Humane Society is the local animal shelter for Klamath County, Oregon. We have been serving the needs of our communities’ stray and unwanted pets since 1969. We are a group of individuals committed to providing humane treatment for all animals. We are NOT a government agency. We are a nonprofit organization so 100% of all donations are kept and used in our local community. In 2002 we took in 3,451 cats, dogs, ferrets, rabbits, hamsters, birds, chickens, goats, horses, llamas, and potbellied pigs. We also care for a variety of other large animals that have been neglected and abused. 500 Miller Island Road PO Box 482, Klamath Falls OR US 97601 Ph:(541)882-1119

 | | Little Orphan Animals, Inc. offers pet "matchmaking" and helps people find their special someone through specialized Internet marketing and aggressive networking. Working with other shelter groups and foster care networks, transitional care for displaced, convalescing and other special-needs pets may be found. Little Orphan Animals, Inc. also works with independent rescue workers, helping them locate equipment, food and medical resources in their own area.
LITTLE ORPHAN ANIMALS, Inc. is primarily a referral organization. We do NOT have shelter facilities at this time. We work with private parties, retailers, shelters, foster homes, pet transport services, law enforcement, and others to facilitate the coordination of services. Examples include arranging home checks for private parties and animal welfare organizations pre- and post-adoption, coordinating pet-transport services for pets being rehomed, researching alternative interventions for animal wellness, e.g., innovative health care, diet and behavior modification.
