Working with other shelter groups and foster care networks, transitional care for displaced, convalescing and other special-needs pets may be found. Little Orphan Animals, Inc. also works with independent rescue workers, helping them locate equipment, food and medical resources in their own area. LITTLE ORPHAN ANIMALS, Inc. is primarily a referral organization. We do NOT have shelter facilities at this time. We work with private parties, retailers, shelters, foster homes, pet transport services, law enforcement, and others to facilitate the coordination of services. Examples include arranging home checks for private parties and animal welfare organizations pre- and post-adoption, coordinating pet-transport services for pets being rehomed, researching alternative interventions for animal wellness, e.g., innovative health care, diet and behavior modification.
