Humane Society Of Ellis County
We are a non profit Humane Society which aids animals in Ellis County. We were organized 15 yrs ago when the Ennis pound animals were being kept in Ennis. Since that time the animals are being sent to a facility in another town. We have therfore become inactive except for listing animals on Petfinder for anyone in our area that needs help in finding strays and other animals new homes rather than taking them to the pound. We do not have a facility.

Merlin's Hope: A Siamese and Long-Haired Cat Breed Rescue (MHCR) is named after my beloved 16-year-old Birman, Merlin, who was dumped at a humane society because his owners didn't want to pay for the medical care he needed. Merlin taught me that homeless cats need compassion, they need a home, but most of all that we need them as much as they need us. It is the mission of Merlin's Hope to rescue cats from local shelters and to find them homes where they will find compassion and where they will give and receive love. Our goal is a home for every cat and a cat in every home.

NECAAP is a non-for-profit animal rescue for the injured and ill animals. We take in special needs homeless animals. Specifically, animals that have been hit by cars, heartworm positive dogs, mange-ridden ,and we also take in the seniors that are hard to place. All of our animals that go to the Rainbow Bridge are cremated and never sent to a land fill. We are always in need of old sheets, blankets, playpens, pet taxis, puppy formula, and baby bottles. Would you be interested in sponsoring one of our special 4-legged babies? All donations/sponsorships are tax deductible as NECAAP is an incorporated not-for-profit group.
