In 1996, we stopped breeding and became a rescue for ferrets because of the tremendous amount of them being abandoned and destroyed at county animal shelters. We have never, never put a ferret down for any reason. We always take care of them until we adopt them out. Adopting a Friend: FIRST TIME FERRET OWNERS:

CRASH's LANDING is a NON-PROFIT, no-kill Cat Rescue & Placement Center. As we are owned and operated by a veterinarian, all cats in our custody will have been Feline Leukemia tested, vaccinated for Rabies, Feline Distemper/Calicivirus/Rhinotracheitis and Feline Leukemia and will have been spayed and/or neutered (if old enough). Cats have been dewormed and flea-treated as well. We are staffed by diligent, hard-working, cat-loving, non-paid volunteers who do this simply becasue they love our feline friends. Without their tireless efforts, CRASH's LANDING would not exist! Our mission is to take abandoned, unwanted STRAY kitties off the streets and place them into loving, permanent homes.

The more foster homes we have, the more "fur" children and "naked" children we can rescue.

We do not have a shelter. Our whole organization is made up of volunteer foster homes. We have dogs in foster homes all over the state. So...it is not possible to go to a "shelter" to view all our dogs. We ask that you submit an application first, and once you are approved to adopt, we will suggest a few dogs and make arrangements for you to meet them. We do not place dogs in homes that we do not believe will work out..... so please respect our advice.

We started Onyx Husky in winter of 1999 and became an official 501c3 non-profit organization in spring of 2000. We started it after the loss of our boy(onyx) whom we lost in the fall of 1999. Our goal is to place as many Siberian Huskies we can into loving homes in his honor and memory.
