2X2 Ranch is a haven for abused or homeless animals located in the rolling hills of the Tennessee/Kentucky border. Our main focus is on horses and burros but we do include smaller species. We provide a permanent retirement home for horses where they can live their life out in comfort and happiness. We also assist in educating the public on the proper care of horses and the responsibilities of pet ownership

ARF is a small group of concerned individuals that provide care and housing for abandoned or unwanted animals in Lafayette Parish and the surrounding area. Space in our shelter facility is limited. We work to rescue abandoned and unwanted animals, obtaining necessary veterinary care and placing them in loving, responsible homes. We DO NOT euthanize adoptable animals. Over the last few years we have placed more than 300 dogs and cats into loving homes.
All animals in our care are current on vaccinations. Dogs are screened for heartworm disease and put on heartworm preventative. Cats are tested (and inoculated against) Feline Leukemia.
Most animals we place are already neutered. If the animal is too young for the procedure we will arrange with the new owners to pay for all or a part of the operation. Also, low-income families (under $30,000) qualify for a discount spay/neuter certificate from Lafayette area vets. ALL ANIMALS WE PLACE MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED.
We are recognized by the IRS as a non-profit organization, so any donation you make to help our cause is tax deductible.

Animal Rescue Resource Center is a non-profit way station for rescued cats and dogs awaiting adoption into loving and responsible homes. We rarely accept animals from the public, preferring to keep our limited spaces available to other rescue groups who are saving as many as they are able to from the pound and need a short term holding kennel until they can arrange transport. A pre-adoption phone interview at your first call will determine if we have a suitable animal for your family. If so, we will give you directions to the ARRC.

Our primary purpose is to provide love, companionship, shelter, food, socialization, and medical care for the many unwanted animals that come to us until permanent, loving homes can be found for them. Most of our animals come from owners who, for whatever reason can no longer keep their pet.

We are an euthanizing shelter due to over population in our parish (county) and are governed by the City-Parish Police Department. Our official name is the Roicy Duhon Animal Control Center, named after a dedicated worker, friend, coach, and community member who passed away. We receive many animals in our shelter each day. From lost and found pets to strays and pregnant moms, we accept any and all animals who need a home. Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we are not able to house all the animals that pass through our doors. Each day, some of the animals are available on a first-come, first serve basis during the hours we are open. Sorry, but we DO NOT offer Pit Bull or Chow dogs for adoption to the general public. While many of the animals turned in to the center do not have history or health records, they deserve a second chance. We cannot guarantee a pet's health, nor provide any medical information such as previous vaccinations or problems, however, we recommend that any animals that you adopt receive a general health check by a veterinarian within a 72 hour period. If the animal has medical problems, we will accept the animal back at the center and refund the adoption fee

The Tippecanoe County Humane Society was founded in 1939 by a group of local animal lovers in Tippecanoe County. Since its beginnings more than 60 years ago, TCHS has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals in its community.
We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any national organization, and we are not a United Way Agency. We are an open admission shelter and we accept all animals in need, regardless of age, health or adoptability. As a local non profit we exist through the generosity of our community.
