Animal Aid for Vermilion Area

We are a non-profit organization that has been in existance for about 14 years. We do not adopt outside of our area, which means we would like to keep adoptions in the Acadiana area. We do not have a shelter open to the public. We take in animals that have been abandoned and/or abused. In fact, most of our animals have been through some sort of abuse and we have worked hard to rehabilitate them to be ready for adoption. We are a very small group of volunteers and we all have animals that we are fostering at our homes. In addition to foster homes many of our animals live on a private farm where they are tended to constantly.

Saint Francis Animal Sanctuary, Inc.

dedicated to all the animals abused, starving and neglected. May God touch lightly the soul of an animal we did not rescue in time. The ones that may never have known a kind word or a warm bed and loving human. We are a small rescue operating out of our home. We hope you enjoy the photos and stories of our animals. Most of the animals will remain with us for the rest of their lives due to age or illness
