The Animal Aid Society is a "no-kill" dog shelter. It is a nonprofit organization which receives no funding from state or federal agencies. All of the funds required to maintain the shelter and care for the dogs come from donations and special fund-raising events.

Animal Aid is an all volunteer no-kill dog shelter that rescues stray and abandoned dogs. We provide food and shelter and actively seek to place them in permanent loving homes and foster care. All funds are raised through donations and special fund raising events. We also provide information on specific breed rescue groups. Our mission is to promote humane treatment of all animals.

The Cat Corner is an independent, non-profit, solely volunteer-run no-kill shelter for cats. All our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FLV tested, and have their shots. We adopt them into caring permanent homes. All the cats can be viewed on our website.

The Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Rescue (ECCAR) is an all volunteer organization that was chartered, by The Tennessee Secretary of State, in September of 1999.

SAFER (Seacoast Area Feline Education & Rescue) is a volunteer-run, non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to improving the lives of abandoned cats/kittens in the NH Seacoast and surrounding areas.
