Humane Society of Louisiana - Acadia ChapterOur mission and goal is to save lives. Our organization investigates cases of animal abuse and neglect. Most of our animals come into our shelter through seizures or they are rescued from local pounds. We also remove stray animals living on the streets and try placing them in loving homes. Our organiztion is non-profit and we depend on donations and fundraisers to survive. Because my organization is small with few volunteers and no shelter we are limited on the amount of animals we can save. These animals are housed on my property and a few are in foster homes.
