Adopt-A-dogAdopt-A-Dog was started back in 1987, I found three little pups out at the in-laws place and wanted to catch them and find them good homes. One came up missing and I received a call that one little puppy was about 10 miles from where I last saw him. So I drove out there and sure enough it was the third pup and he was really thirsty and starving. So I decided then that I would try and help who I could. Perkins County Animal ShelterWe are a no kill animal shelter that can house up to 15 dogs and 10 cats comfortably. We placed 105 animals into new homes in 2004, pretty good for a rural area:) We strive to train each dog to pass the K9 Good Citizen test and make them better pets when they leave than they were when they came. We also help with Colorado and Nebraska pet transports!! One of our dogs even flew to Canada!!
