Measle's Animal Haven, Inc

We focus on rescuing unwanted/neglected/abused/abandoned pit bulls (American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Pit Bull mixes) and senior dogs (of all breeds), because these animals have the fewest rescue resources in Ohio and are so deserving of loving homes.

Second Chance Humane Society

Second Chance Humane Society is a 501c3 non profit all volunteer organization created to help the many abandoned pets (primarily dogs and cats) in our area find shelter and new forever homes. Most of our animals have been found by good Samaritans who bring them to us, or from pet owners who need to surrender their pets for various reasons. Each animal in our care receives thorough vet examinations and any vet services needed to ensure good health. Each is also evaluated for temperament to help us determine the best possible home situation and if any behavior modification and/or training is needed prior to adoption. The majority of our funding is obtained through adoption fees and donations. Please go to our Donations page to see how you can help us continue to help these defenseless animals.

Stop The Suffering

STS rescues animals from high kill rural shelters on the euthanasia list. In special circumstances we take owner surrenders. We transport dogs & cats to other approved 501c3 rescues and take some into our adoption program. In our adoption program they spend time in boarding awaiting a foster home. They are completely vetted including spayed or neutered, heartworm checked and started on prevention and are given all vaccinations including rabies. Adoption fee varies but includes all of the above plus leash & collar.
