Humane Society of Louisiana - Acadia ChapterOur mission and goal is to save lives. Our organization investigates cases of animal abuse and neglect. Most of our animals come into our shelter through seizures or they are rescued from local pounds. We also remove stray animals living on the streets and try placing them in loving homes. Our organiztion is non-profit and we depend on donations and fundraisers to survive. Because my organization is small with few volunteers and no shelter we are limited on the amount of animals we can save. These animals are housed on my property and a few are in foster homes. Humane Society of West LouisianaThe Humane Society of West Louisiana was founded in August of 1998. We are a small group of volunteers that rescue abandoned, abused or neglected animals. We provide a safe environment for the animals and get them medical care. The animals are evaluated for their health and their temperment, and then put in foster homes until they are adopted. Our goal is to end the cycle of pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; to educate the public about pet ownership responsibility; and to end animal abuse through education. In The Nick Of Time Animal RescueWho We Are We are nothing more than a couple of kids who care. I am Jeanne Daley and my roomate/greatest helper in the world is Lisa Larison. We get no outside funding, so all of the expenses are placed on my shoulders. We are 24 years old, we work very hard to make sure our "babies" have what they need. All donations go straight to vet care, Frontline, Heartguard, food, and supplies. Also, if anyone would like to send supplies of ANY KIND we are always in need of Frontline (0-100lbs), Heartguard (0-100lbs.), food (anything except Ol' Roy will do), old blankets, chew toys, crates, treats, leashes, food bowls... Lafayette Animal AidWe are a no-kill shelter in Lafayette (Carencro), LA that houses at the shelter, on average, 65 dogs and 65 cats. We also provide for more animals living in foster homes. All of our animals are current on shots, and all are spayed/neutered. Cats are tested and vaccinated for Feluk and FIV. Dogs are tested for heartworms and if necessary, treated. We do not discriminate against any animal due to size, age, color, breed, or behavioral problems, unless the animal is too aggressive for our volunteers to handle and poses a threat to other animals and volunteers. Lake Area Partnership for Animal WelfareHow We Operate: Our group is made up of Lake Area residents who by working together to raise funds have committed to helping homeless dogs receive a second chance at finding a home. We operate by holding fundraisers and receiving donations any donations are gratefully appreciated and tax deductable. We are not part of any publicly run facility so we do not receive funds except those that we are able to raise.. Your donations are used to rescue animals, provide vaccinations, heartworm treatments, heartworm preventative, spay/neuter, buy dog food and much, much more!! None of our group receives compensation for the work that we do. Please help us rescue those dogs in the Lake Area in need of help. We can not continue to do what we do without the public being supportive of us. We do not have a phsyical shelter to house our animals. All of our animals are housed in our own homes. We currently do not have the space for any more fosters at this time. Please do not contact us if you are attempting to get rid of an unwanted pet.
