Stray No More

About Us Stray No More is a 501(c) 3 Volunteer Organization dedicated to reducing the number of animals euthanized in Palm Beach County, Florida through our Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program, Education and Adoption of rescued stray animals. Co-founded in July 1994, Stray No More is run completely by volunteers, 99% of those who work full time jobs. Donated money is tax deductible and 100% goes to benefit the animals, not people! We do not have a shelter. The rescued dogs, cats, puppies and kittens live in foster homes. We conduct extensive interviews, and home visits before an animal can be adopted. Our adoption fee of $81.25 for dogs, and $61.25 for cats includes Spay/Neuter, vaccinations, tests, deworming, heartworm and flea prevention while in foster care, microchip and microchip registration!

SPCA of Tampa Bay

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has served as every Tampa Bay pet owner's safety net for 65 years. According to an article in the St. Petersburg Times (2000) more than 77,000 dogs and cats are turned over to shelters in Hillsborough and pinellas counties annually. Of those dogs that are admitted to shelters, almost 25 percent are purebred. The SPCA provides services to between 16,000 and 18,000 homeless and abandoned animals every year. Once it is determined that an animal is physically and emotionally suitable for adoption, the SPCA provides food, shelter, medical care and behavior training until the animal is adopted.

Miami-Dade Animal Services

Miami-Dade Animal Services is a standalone department within Miami-Dade County Government. We are primarily charged with the responsibility of enforcing Chapter 5 of the Code of Metropolitan Dade County. Unlike private shelters that have limitations on the number of pets they accept, we accept all animals at the Animal Services shelter. No pets are turned away, and each year, the shelter impounds more than 32,000 dogs and cats. Due to the tremendous pet overpopulation problem in Miami-Dade county, our shelter is constantly overcrowded -- WE NEED ADOPTERS! Most of the rescue groups that you find in Miami, Florida, rescue pets from our shelter, so the pets that they are adopting out have come through us, first. Our goal is to find lifelong homes for as many animals as possible and to provide proper care for them while they’re at our shelter. We also educate the public about pet overpopulation and responsible pet ownership, and we offer low-cost vaccinations and free spay/neuter services for the pets of Miami-Dade county residents. We need you to work with us to find loving forever families for the pets at our shelter!! Please don't give up on them!

Brevard County Animal Services & Enforcement

Brevard Animal Services and Enforcement (BASE) provide a wide range of services to residents of Brevard County. Our mission goals are public safety and health. Secondary to this is to help residents deal with animal issues. We patrol for stray dogs, lend out traps to help citizens remove stray cats and small nuisance wildlife, pick up sick and injured animals and transport them to Veterinarians, Rehabilitation Centers and Animal Shelters. There the animals will receive care and medical treatment as necessary. We provide education about wildlife and referrals for need-specific services that go beyond what we provide. We investigate animal bites and reports of neglect and cruelty. We lend nearly three-dozen traps weekly and service dozens more taking stray animals to the shelters and relocate all types of wildlife. If we do not provide a service you need, in most instances, we can refer you to a person or agency that does. We now operate two of the four animal shelters in Brevard County. We spay and neuter the animals we put up for adoption. We assist in picking up animals during Natural Disasters such as wild fires and hurricane evacuations. These are just some of the many services that we provide to the residents of Brevard County.
