VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED, IF YOU HAVE THE TIME OUR ANIMALS WOULD LOVE TO BECOME YOUR PLAYFUL FRIEND FOR THE TIME YOU DONATE. OUR STAFF CONSISTS OF SEVEN ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS WHICH PATROL THE TOWNSHIP OF ISLIP SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. WE HAVE SEVEN KENNEL ATTENDANTS WHO TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN THEIR JOB WITH THE ANIMALS AND FINDING THEIR NEW HOMES. OUR OFFICE STAFF CONSISTS OF FIVE CLERKS AND TWO RADIO DISPATCHERS. THE ISLIP ANIMAL SHELTER SPAYS AND NEUTERS ALL OF OUR ANIMALS BEFORE ADOPTION AND WE VACCINATE WITH A 5 IN 1 VACCINE FOR DOGS AND A 3 IN 1 VACCINE FOR CATS. ALL ANIMALS MORE THAN THREE MONTHS OF AGE RECEIVE A ONE YEAR RABIES VACCINE. UPON EACH ADOPTION YOU WILL RECEIVE A FREE PHYSICAL EXAM WITH OUR PARTICIPATING ANIMAL HOSPITALS.
