Chase Animal Hospital

Our intention was never to start an adoption program. It came out of necessity after pets were left with us for numerous reasons. Some are strays, sometimes owers are unable to pay for needed treatments, some come in to be eutthanized with nothing medically wrong with them and some are just abandoned at our door step.

Huntsville Animal Services

As a traditional municipal shelter, we accept all strays and owner turn-ins from the City of Huntsville and Madison County. By law we must "house or board" stray pets for three to five days. After the "holding period," a decision regarding the "disposition" of the animal is made. The pet may be made available for adoption, be released to a rescue organization or unfortunately, may be euthanized due to space, temperament, or health reasons. Pet overpopulation forces us to make difficult decisions. Euthanasia is a daily function of our organization. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for euthanasia

Weimaraner Rescue of the South

We are a non-profit 501c-3 organization dedicated to finding homes for abandoned or displaced weimaraners in AL, MS, TN, eastern LA, & the Atlanta, GA area. Since Hurricane Katrina we have had more displaced dogs than ever, and our adoption applications have reduced in numbers. We are, for the first time, not able to take in any more needy Weimaraners due to the lack of foster homes and money to even board those in dire strates
