| As a traditional municipal shelter, we accept all strays and owner turn-ins from the City of Huntsville and Madison County. By law we must "house or board" stray pets for three to five days. After the "holding period," a decision regarding the "disposition" of the animal is made. The pet may be made available for adoption, be released to a rescue organization or unfortunately, may be euthanized due to space, temperament, or health reasons. Pet overpopulation forces us to make difficult decisions. Euthanasia is a daily function of our organization. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate the need for euthanasia 4950 Triana Boulevard, Huntsville AL US 35805 Ph:(256)883-3782
