Animal Rescue League Ltd.The ARL is a small, non profit animal shelter that provides care to homeless animals until they can be adopted into loving forever homes. The ARL also offers euthanasia and crematorium services, including private cremation. The city of Saint John contracts the ARL to perform animal control for the city. The shelter is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors who employ an Executive Director to manage the shelter. Our mission is to enrich the lives of ferrets in our community through education, collaboration, communication, rehabilitation and rescue. All ferrets surrendered to FRES are fostered and cared for by members of our Society. While our foster families generously provide these ferrets with love, FRES provides all necessary supplies and medical care. No ferret is ever, or will ever, be turned away for any reason, and FRES will care for them until adoptive homes can be found through our three step adoption process.
