American Standardbred Adoption Program, Inc. was founded in 1994 by a small group of dedicated individuals and professionals who saw a need for a placement service for non-racing Standardbreds. This placement service honors and serves the people and horses within the harness racing industry around the country, with special emphasis on Standardbreds in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The American Standardbred Adoption Program also serves as a rescue facility and sanctuary for abandoned, abused, or neglected horses of all breeds, and is listed by the Humane Society of the United States as a humane equine rescue organization. Horses of all other breeds are accepted into placement by ASAP, Inc.

Begin Again Farms began in response to the need in the Harris County area for an equine rescue shelter. The idea for the shelter came from Donald Malloy after he took in a lame horse captured by the Sheriff. Donald kept the horse but died before getting the equine shelter off the ground. That task went to Rhonda Jackson. She was acquainted with Mr. Malloy and took over his idea after he passed away

BIG HEARTS Rescue was founded in the summer of 2007. Based in Pasco County, Florida, our non-profit organization is made up of volunteers who freely give their love, time, and support in order to rehabilitate, foster, and ultimately give a better life to needy animals. Through action and education, we hope to not only to educate the public on animal-related issues, but to help foster an atmosphere of understanding and mutual respect for the plight of needy animals. Many of our fosters are special needs and we hope you consider adopting one of them. Just one person can help make the difference for many animals that cannot help themselves.
