ELMIRA CAT RESCUEElmira Cat Rescue is a grassroots, volunteer organization concerned with the overpopulation of abandoned cats trying to survive on our streets and surrounding rural roads. Our purpose is to work locally to rescue abandoned and neglected cats and help stop needless suffering. We do this through public education and a health and spay-neuter program. There is no paid staff. Our funding comes from adoptions, volunteer fund-raising events and private donations. There is no government or township assistance. Forgotten Ones Cat SanctuaryFORGOTTEN ONES CAT ADOPTION is a non-profit, no kill, humane, volunteer cat rescue, dedicated to rescuing cats scheduled to die in a high kill, small animal control shelter, where 1,000 or more healthy cats die every year, all because they have no where else to go, and we are often their last hope. Municpal pounds only have to keep cats 72 hours before they are destroyed or sold for research.
