Save the Dalmatians and Others Canine Rescue, IncSave the Dalmatians was founded in 1996 to provide resources for Dalmatian rescue in the wake of Disneys 1996 101 Dalmatians movie which set off massive over-breeding of Dalmatians by backyard breeders. Save the Dalmatians became incorporated as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 1998. We are an all-volunteer organization that rescues Dalmatians from Southern California shelters to find them new homes, assists owners in rehoming their unwanted Dalmatians, promotes the spaying and neutering of pet Dalmatians and provides information to the public about the Dalmatian breed.
