| PAWS (Pet Assistance & Welfare Society, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 organization that formed in mid-2000. PAWS was put together by a small group of volunteers that had been volunteering at the Tulsa Animal Shelter. These volunteers saw a need to be able to raise funds to help some of the animals at the shelter and to put in place a low cost and free spay/neuter clinic to help alleviate Tulsa's serious pet overpopulation problem. They weren't able to do this in their current Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) capacity, so they formed PAWS.

	| Pontotoc Animal Welfare Society was incorporated as a nonprofit, charitable orgainization in September, 1982. PAWS operates the animal shelter for the purpose of sheltering lost, unwanted, sick and injured animals until a new home can be found or the animal is humanely disposed. PAWS also has an agreement with the city of Ada for the placement of impounded dogs and cats. These animals must be kept for 72 hours allowing the owner time to reclaim. Donations to this organization are tax deductible. We are always in need of collars, leashes, canned cat and dog food, treats, toys, bath towels, paper towels, pens and paper. We love having visitors. Please come and see our new "cat room" where cats can be free in a nice sunny room to play and sleep. PAWS also now has a "visiting room". There you can take the dog/cat that you like and get to know them better. WAGS, WOOFS and MEOWS from all the furkids at PAWS and thank you for visiting our site. 1200 Sandy Creek Drive, Ada OK US 74820 Ph:(580)332-5233
