This placement service honors and serves the people and horses within the harness racing industry around the country, with special emphasis on Standardbreds in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Dachshund Rescue of North America-Great Lakes

Dachshund Rescue of North America is an organization with one sole purpose — rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing needy dachshunds and mostly dachshund mixes. We are a network of experienced rescue people throughout the United States and Canada who were previously doing rescue independently and realized the benefits of joining together and combining resources.

Iowa County Humane Society

In 1998 a group of concerned citizens in Iowa County got together to solve the stray and abandoned animal problem. The group had no money just an idea and had one thing in in common, the total love and devotion to animals. From that very first meeting the Iowa County Humane Society (ICHS) was formed. Over the last two years the society has developed bylaws, incorporated, built a community awareness program and moved into a new (hopefully) permanent facility.

Pepin County Humane Society

The Pepin County Humane Society has been in business for close to 30 years. We are a very small shelter with only 5 dog kennels & 8 cat kennels. Because we're so small it's very difficult to find homes for all our homeless pets. Also, because we're so small we are able to get to know the animals that cross our path VERY well.

Vilas County Animal Shelter

Our adoption policy is quite simple! First, you have to come into the shelter and find a pet that will suit your family. Then you fill out an application consisting of your name, address, veterinarian, and a short adoption agreement. We schedule a spay/neuter appointment for the animal and after the procedure is complete you pick your new pet up from Eagle River Animal Hospital in Eagle River. One thing that we would like to mention is that the Humane Society of Vilas County does not adopt dogs out to live outside.
