Jefferson County Animal ControlJefferson County Animal Shelter is a kill shelter located in the tip of the Eastern Panhandle of WV, near Harper's Ferry and Charles Town. The shelter had a very high kill rate until June of 2006, when they started working with a volunteer to move as many adoptable dogs as possible into rescue. From June 2006 through December 2006, more than 100 dogs were adopted or taken into rescue.
