MideWest Dachshund Rescue, Inc.

In March 2003, five committed, energetic volunteers founded MidWest Dachshund Rescue, Inc., dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and placing homeless and needy dachshunds and dachshund mixes in the Midwest. MWDR is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization serving Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin. From March 2003 through December 2004, our tireless group of volunteers took in, fostered and provided vet care for 179 needy dachshunds. Such a commitment does not come without significant effort and costs. Please peruse MWDR's website to learn how you can help with donations of goods and time, and learn how you can add a sweet, rescued dachshund to your family. You will be glad you did!
