Animal Protection League of South Carolina

APL's Mission: To provide a safe haven for abandoned and abused animals, restore them to good physical and mental health and then place them in loving homes. To use euthanasia ONLY when an animal is suffering and it is recommended and performed by a veterinarian. To investigate neglect, abuse, and cruelty cases. To cooperate with law enforcement agencies in investigating and prosecuting cases. To promote effective spay-neuter, lost and found, and adoption programs. To study and promote changes in federal, state, county and municipal animal laws or ordinances. To educate the public through printed materials and educational activities regarding their responsibility in the proper care of animals.
