Jefferson County Dog Control

We are a municipal dog shelter in Jefferson County, which employs seven people. We are responsible for the enforcement of NYS and some local dog laws, shelter services, care of stray, injured and abandoned dogs. We also assist the local Public Health Dept with the rabies program. Our facility can house up to 50 dogs at any one time. We have an indoor viewing room and an outdoor fenced area, for potential adopters to visit with a pet they think they may want to adopt.
