Brampton Animal Shelter

The Municipal shelter is funded by the City of Brampton and is responsible for by-law enforcement and housing of stray animals. We also accept owned animals for adoption. We assist the public with wildlife issues to help them live harmoniously with urban wildlife. Humane Societies are responsible for animal cruelty and also helping animals that are homeless or in need of help. They are funded by donations. The Peel humane Society does not have a shelter in Brampton. The Animal Shelter does not have a specific adoption period. If the animal placed for adoption remains healthy, happy and friendly it remains in our adoption wing. The Animal Shelter does not euthanize to make room for other animals.
