Sparky and the Gang

Sparky and the Gang is a not-for-profit charitable group working to rescue dogs and place them in safe, loving homes. Group volunteers rescue primarily dogs but sometimes cats from local pounds, off the streets and from unsuitable homes. We also pull dogs off Los Angeles freeways and from areas in downtown Los Angeles and South Central. Our group works from different areas in Los Angeles and Orange County and most animals are kenneled, although some animals live in foster care. All group members work on a volunteer basis and most have full-time jobs separate from this organization

2nd Chance Pet Adoption

Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a non-profit 501 C charitable organization that was formed to promote humane treatment and quality of life for all felines, reduce pet overpopulation and provide pet adoption services. We feel it is important to educate prospective owners and the general public about pet overpopulation and enforce a very strict spay/neuter policy for all our adopted pets. All of our cats live in "foster homes" or with their owners until they are adopted. Second Chance Pet Adoptions has no paid employees and does not receive funding from any government agency. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and obtain funds solely from adoption fees and donations. !

Long Beach Felines

We are volunteers who foster the kittens and cats on this Petfinder website. Some cats are rescued from Shelters when they are OUT OF TIME. Once we get them out of the shelter, the cats are tested & examined at a vet and then go to foster homes — where they live with the family — NOT in cages, until adopted. We also rescue homeless cats from the streets of our communities. While there are far more cats than we can foster, we're at work right here in our own neighborhoods.
