So many pups/kittens are dumped up here and left to die, and we couldn't just sit by and watch, so we started a rescue to step in and help, and hopefully one day stop this terrible act entirely. Almost Home Animal Rescue LeagueAlmost Home Animal Rescue League is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding loving forever homes for homeless animals. We are strongly against the senseless act of euthanasia of adoptable animals and are continuously striving to make euthanasia a thing of the past. We are made up of a group of dedicated volunteers, without them, Almost Home Animal Rescue League would not exist. We have no paid staff. The Almost Home Animal Haven of Southfield is a "REAL" no-kill shelter. A place where frightened animals need not be frightened. Where animal's with special needs are not discriminated against. A place that radiates warmth and love to all animals whether they are young or old, sick or healthy, maimed or beautiful. A place to feel safe and "BE" safe. We rely solely on the generosity of animal lovers like you. Your donation could mean the difference between the life and death of an animal. We do not receive any government funding or tax support. We operate entirely on donations and every penny goes directly to the animals. Almost Home Animal Haven of Southfield The shelter is open for adoptions every Wednesday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. and every Saturday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at 25503 Clara Lane in Southfield, Michigan, near Telegraph and 11 Mile off Franklin Rd. by the I-696 overpass. Almost Home Animal Rescue League We also have an adoption event every other Saturday at Premier Pet Supply, 31215 Southfield Road, Beverly Hills, Michigan. Dog and cat adoptions are 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. (January 20, February 3 & 17, March 3, 17 & 31, April 14 & 28, etc.) Visit www.almosthomeanimalrescue.org to complete an Adoption Application. Almost Home Animal SanctuaryWe are an all volunteer rescue in the process of applying for nonprofit status. Almost Home was created out of a desire to honor Ruey, a rescued Neapolitan Mastiff, who provided years of unsurpassed joy, companionship, and love. Almost Home is a no-kill shelter, but because of that we can run out of space for new dogs and cats. . We are always in need of foster homes for our pregnant moms and puppies and for kittens too young to adopt.
