| Founded in 1911, the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc. is dedicated to helping people and pets increase their quality of life. We operate two shelters, one on the East Shore and one on the West Shore of the Susquehanna River. Together, the two facilities service Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, and northwestern York Counties of Pennsylvania. Most of the animals received each year at our two locations are cats and dogs; however, the Humane Society accepts and cares for all types of animals, contacting third party agencies for assistance when necessary. 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg PA US 17111 Ph: 7175643320

The Humane Society relies entirely on support from individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations to provide funding for our people and pets programs. As a private, non-profit organization, we do not receive any direct government grants or funding from federal, state, or county government (except for services rendered). We also receive no money from other animal welfare groups, such as the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the American Humane Association (AHA), or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). 710 Eppley Road, Mechanicsburg PA US 17055 Ph: 7176978547
