Arnell Memorial Humane Society Inc.

The Arnell Memorial Humane Society was founded in January 1995 by concerned citizens and animal lovers. AMHS was named in honor of Roy Arnell, a local neighbor and farmer, whose generosity enabled AMHS to build an animal shelter in Amery, Wisconsin. AMHS is primarily funded through donation, fundraising activities and animal adoptions. Partial funding is provided by Polk County dog license fees. AHMS is dedicated to the protection of animals by providing information, education and shelter; encouraging adoptions; promoting responsible pet guardianship, and expanding the human/animal bond.

Ashland/Bayfield Area Animal Control

We're a relatively small facility usually housing ~15-20 cats and ~10 dogs. There are lots of wonderful things about our facility; two being that we tend to get a lot of smaller dogs and we almost always have kittens! Lots of the animals on our page are from private homes that have either privately rescued these animals or, due to extenuating circumstaces, can no longer keep them. We do not accept owner surrenders, but we are dedicated to trying to find all needy animals homes.

Auntie Judys

We are a dog and cat boarding kennel, pet supply store, and pet rescue. In 2000 we started saving dogs on the day they were to be put to sleep. On there final day we pick them up, bring them here. Then they are groomed, dewormed, given dhlp and bordetella, and then taken to the vet for rabies and any other vet care needed. After all that we give them lots of love and attention. Since we do this out of our bussiness, we are not concidered non-profit. So everything we do is at our cost which you can imagine gets very costly. Donations are greatly appreciated

Badgerland German Shepherd Rescue

Badgerland German Shepherd Rescue (BGSR) is an incorporated group of individuals volunteering their time, money, love and efforts to rescue German Shepherd Dogs, whether or not purebred, who have been abandoned, surrendered to animal shelters/humane societies, or surrendered to BGSR by their owners. General Rescue Information: All "Rescued" German Shepherd Dogs are taken to a veterinarian to be treated for any obvious medical condition, brought current on all shots, and spayed or neutered. Each dog is placed in a loving Foster Home until a suitable permanent home can be found. Our "Rescued" German Shepherd Dogs come in all ages, colors, sizes, and personalities. Rarely do we receive dogs under the age of one year. Potential new homes are thoroughly pre-screened. Potential adoptive owners must be willing to bring a German Shepherd Dog into their home as a family member. Owners must be prepared to provide proper food and clean water, vaccinations and any other medical expenses, daily exercise, and most of all, lots of love. Our adoption donation averages $175. Adopters are responsible for any shipping expenses for long distance placements.
