Critter Care FarmCritter Care was founded in 1988 and relocated to north Central Florida in 1998. We are non-funded volunteers, dedicated to the care and protection of ALL animals. We have many years of experience working with the care of animals, in Veterinary Hospitals, and Animal Shelters. We provide a safe shelter, love and care for lost, abandon, abused and stray animals of all kinds. Because of our work and experience with animals, we are called upon by many citizens to take in these animals, care for them, and try to place them into loving, secure, and permanent homes. Some have become permanent residents here at Critter care Farm. We have been Wildlife Rehabilitators since 1989 and hold permits with Fla Fish and Wildlife Conservation Comm. and the Dept. of the Interior US Fish and Wildlife Serive. Critter Care is NOT a business! We operate out of our own pockets at our home, because there is a need to help animals that can not help themselves. Donations from those who care about animals, help us to take in these injured. orphaned, and homeless animals. Wisconsin Guinea Pig RescueWe are a group of private homes that take in guinea pigs from shelters who are not able to house them or who are planning to euthanize them. We try to limit the number we accomodate so they all receive the best of care and socialization. Guinea pigs are provided with good food, hay, fresh water, spacious and clean cages, fresh veggies, vet care, and love, so that they will be ready to go to a new home. Central Florida Pug RescueA little over three years ago, a pug owner who was moving asked Becky if she would take in her little lady Peewee, care for her and possibly find a new home. A few months went by and Becky found Peewee (now known as Mimi) a new home. Little did we know at the time that she would become our very first rescue and that we would eventually become an incorporated pug rescue. We realized there was a void in the central Florida area concerning pug rescue, care and adoption of pugs. Somehow the word spread that we were here and willing to help those in need. During the past year and half, operating unofficially, we received many calls and emails from other rescues in Florida and even some neighboring states asking if we would help them. We were very happy to help out in any way we could.
