South Florida Siberian Husky Rescue, Inc.

South Florida Siberian Husky Rescue, Inc. (SFSHRI) is a non-profit organization. We assist in finding homes for abused/neglected and abandoned purebred Siberian Huskies (mainly ones in kill-shelters and ones found by Good Samaritans on the streets). SFSHRI also assists owners in finding homes for their dog/s that they can no longer keep (this is called a Referral Program). Other volunteers services include behavior/training counseling, breed information, and advice to Siberian Husky owners in need of solving problems with their dogs in order to help them find alternatives to surrendering their pets. We will also post free lost/found ads on our website to help owners reunite with their Siberian Huskies. When possible, SFSHRI will lend assistance to those responsible owners who require financial assistance towards their sick/injured Siberian Husky .

South Lake Animal League

The South Lake Animal League was established in 1988 to help the abused, abandoned, and neglected animals of Lake County. Started on a non-existent budget by a small group of animal-lovers committed to a "no-kill" policy, the organization soon became an important presence in the growing South Lake area. In the 18 years since the organization began, the League has placed more than 2,200 animals into loving homes.

SPCA of Hernando County Inc.

We are a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer humane organization supported by donations and fundraisers. We do not receive any support or funding from any government agencies. The SPCA is in need of kennel technicians for cats and dogs, and volunteers to handle all aspects of cleaning of a shelter. There are no paid positions at the shelter. The joy and satisfaction received when helping to make a healthy environment for the animals, and from socializing with the animals, is greater than any monetary compensation

SPCA of Tampa Bay

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has served as every Tampa Bay pet owner's safety net for 65 years. According to an article in the St. Petersburg Times (2000) more than 77,000 dogs and cats are turned over to shelters in Hillsborough and pinellas counties annually. Of those dogs that are admitted to shelters, almost 25 percent are purebred. The SPCA provides services to between 16,000 and 18,000 homeless and abandoned animals every year. Once it is determined that an animal is physically and emotionally suitable for adoption, the SPCA provides food, shelter, medical care and behavior training until the animal is adopted.

St Martin de Porres' Help for Handicapped & Homeless Hounds

“St. Martin’s was formed in 2003 to help meet the needs of the neediest dogs in the world of rescue – the handicapped and homeless. The dogs are all provided with veterinary care and loving homes, either permanent or foster. In addition, the dogs are provided with any necessary rehabilitation and physical therapy. “St. Martin’s also provides medical care to animals belonging to the poor and the elderly in the community, who otherwise would not receive any medical care at all. And, when possible, we help other kinds of animals in need, such as injured ducks. “St. Martin’s also strives to lessen animal cruelty and neglect through educating the community about the proper care of animals, the laws protecting animals, etc. This is done primarily through print ads and tabling (reaching out directly to the public at community events).
