Mid-Atlantic Turtle and Tortoise SocietyWe are an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in February, 1997, directed by concerned hobbyists and professionals, who saw a need to reach out to the public and improve the conditions under which captive chelonians are kept and try to protect local species and their habitats. We are a conservation group that also does adoptions as a public service. We also offer an adoptions program to help displaced or unwanted pet turtles and tortoise find new, loving homes. Roberts RescueRoberts Rescue is a small nonprofit group of volunteers dedicated to finding forever homes for the unwanted animals of Maryland. We all have our own full time jobs and families, not to mention our own dogs and cats! We dedicate our spare time to helping these pets in need. Most of our animals come from shelters or are found wandering the streets of Baltimore. When space and funds allow we do accept owner surrenders into our program. We do not rescue specific breeds but we lend a helping hand to all needy animals when we can. However we do specialize in Bully Breeds (English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, American Bulldogs, Boxers, etc.) therefore we also work with Ethical Bull Breed Rescue and Referral, Inc. (EBBRR) to help place Bully Breeds from across the country. EBBRR is a large network of volunteers dedicated to saving homeless Bullies from all over the USA. Little Flower RescueOur mission is to end the suffering of cats, be they feral, domestic, or stray. We do this, in case of ferals, by trapping neutering/spaying, and returning the cats to their original environment when it is hospitable and cat friendly. When a cat's environment no longer sustains its life, we attempt to relocate the animals to a more friendly area. In the case of orphan kittens and/or at risk mommies and their kittens, we place them in foster homes until they can be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and have other medical situations addressed. We then find new homes where the cat will live for rest of its life.
