Greyhound Pets Of America - Wisconsin

We are a Greyhound-placement organization that accepts Greyhounds primarily from the Wisconsin Greyhound racetracks and local shelters. Through a network of local veterinarians, our organization provides full examinations, spaying, neutering, dental care and other needed medical procedures prior to adoption. GPA Wisconsin's Milwaukee and Madison adoption operations rely heavily upon Greyhound-savvy families to act as temporary "foster homes" for ex-racers to make the transition to home life while awaiting adoption. Fostering is a very rewarding activity, where the foster family helps a Greyhound explore a home (most have never seen stairs, patio doors and other interesting things), recuperate from spay or neuter surgery, learn good manners, and best of all, learn that the transition to becoming a pet is journey filled with love. It is through this program we are able to allow each adopted Greyhound to join its new family in the best possible condition. GPA Wisconsin's volunteers work closely with each prospective Greyhound owner, matching them with a dog whose personality is most ideally suited to its new home situation to ensure a lasting, rewarding relationship.

H.A.R.T. (Homeless Animal Rescue Team) of Wisconsin

We are a dog rescue organization working together in Western Wisconsin to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals by saving one life at a time. All pets are Spayed/Neutered and current on vaccinations prior to placement. We are all volunteers with no paid staff and very little funding. We always strive to do our very best to help homeless animals. We are a FOSTER based rescue group, which means the pets in our care reside in the homes of our volunteers and not a shelter. Our common goal is to build a multi-species Humane Shelter. We do not have a shelter or centeral location, however, by contacting the foster number or email listed with each of our companions, directions and arrangements to meet can be given individually. Most of our adoptions are in Monroe County and La Crosse County Wisconsin. We do send and take applications by email and snail mail so contact us and we will get one to you.

Halfway Home K9 Adoption

We assist with mixed breeds and others that come to pure breed rescue. These dogs are often over-looked by adopters seeking a specific breed. We list with PetFinder as an avenue of additional exposure to aid in finding the right forever home

Happy Endings No Kill Animal Shelter

Happy Endings provides a safe haven for feral, stray, abused, neglected and or critically injured animals. We nurse those who are sick back to health and provide a home for all animals until they are ready to be adopted. No animal is ever euthanized by Happy Endings for convenience sake, but, only when, in a veterinarian's professional opinion is in a state of terminal suffering. All of our adult animals are spayed and/or neutered before they are adopted. We currently adopt out an average of 30 animals per month.
