Two Left Paws Animal Sanctuary

Two Left Paws Animal Sanctuary is made up of a group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and placing abandoned and unwanted animals. Most members of our group have at one time or another been volunteers with other organziations and have since joined together to form Two Left Paws. We believe in homeless animals being cared for in a setting other than cages or kennels; this is less stressful on the animal. We also believe that euthanasia should only be for those animals that are terminally ill and suffering or for those that have behavioral problems/issues that cannot be rehabilitated with treatment.

Valley of the Kings Sanctuary & Retreat

The mission of Valley of the Kings Sanctuary and Retreat is to provide a home for abused, abandoned, retired, and injured large felid's, exotic and domestic non-human animals. We give the best available diet, housing, veterinary care and positive human interaction. Valley of the Kings educates the general public concerning the bond between human and non-human animals in the natural world. We also teach that private and commercial ownership, hunting for profit or sport, and the destruction of natural habitat will mean eventual extinction for these creatures. Lastly, we teach that when we remove animals from the wild, we take their freedom and wildness, the essence of their being.

Vilas County Animal Shelter

Our adoption policy is quite simple! First, you have to come into the shelter and find a pet that will suit your family. Then you fill out an application consisting of your name, address, veterinarian, and a short adoption agreement. We schedule a spay/neuter appointment for the animal and after the procedure is complete you pick your new pet up from Eagle River Animal Hospital in Eagle River. One thing that we would like to mention is that the Humane Society of Vilas County does not adopt dogs out to live outside.

WAAGR - Wisconsin Adopt A Golden Retriever

Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever is an all volunteer/member Golden Retriever rescue organization serving Southeastern Wisconsin and beyond. To find out more about us, read the latest version of The WAAG. WAAGR has no paid staff and depends on the generosity of individuals that want to help provide a safe and happy life for Golden Retrievers that for whatever reason have lost their homes. Our volunteers/members will do what needs to be done to help these kind and loving animals find the home of their dreams. It is our belief that education and staying involved in our communities is the key to great placements in great forever homes

Wanekia Wanagi Shelter

We are a licensed, not for profit corporation. We offer a place to shelter large and small domestic animals that have been removed from abusive or neglectful situations, or that are otherwise unwanted and at risk of being euthanized. Over the years, people in these communities have gotten to know me through my work with abused, ill, injured, and unwanted animals. Sometimes this work has meant that we have assisted Law Enforcement personnel; sometimes it means that we provide nursing services for sick or injured animals. To insure a perpetual haven for these animals, I recruited the help of various professionals and volunteers. In 1997 Wanekia Wanagi Shelter, Inc. was formed. The Shelter also provides rehabilitation and therapy including all natural supplements and techniques, in addition to standard veterinarian services and Farrier care, for whatever length of time is necessary. We heal physical and emotional trauma, so that each animal can trust people again and socialize normally with other animals. Any animal that cannot be placed in a permanent adoptive home may live out their remaining years in retirement at the shelter. We are on 24-hour call from our Manitowoc County facility and at present we serve nine Southeastern Wisconsin Counties. We are NOT funded by Local, State. Or Federal Government. We depend solely on private contribution, and that is why we are asking for your help. Your Tax-deductible contribution will help us to continue our work in prevention the unnecessary euthanization of these animals without options.
