Labrador Friends of the South, Inc.Labrador Friends of the South (LFS) is an incorporated, non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of homeless Labrador Retrievers in the Southeast region. We are currently applying for 501(c)(3) status. LFS relies solely on donations, fundraising events and adoption fees to function and continue saving and placing homeless Labradors. We do not receive any state or federal funding. LFS is an all volunteer organization of people who give their time, effort, and love for labs to protect and save them from the perils of pet over-population and irresponsible pet ownership. Cimmaron Valley Humane SocietyWE ARE A NO KILL SHELTER! BUT EACH MONTH WE HAVE TO TURN DOWN AROUND 50 DOGS OR CATS BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE SPACE FOR THEM. PLEASE HELP US ! SPAY AND NEUTER, ADOPT, FOSTER, AND DO ALL YOU CAN FOR THE ANIMALS THAT CAN'T DO FOR THEMSELVES! We are a newly formed shelter with lots of learning to do. We don't actually have a shelter building, we are a network of homes trying to help our furry friends. Donations appreciated! We don't charge for the daily feeding and care of the dogs & cats, we just want to help them find forever homes and loving owners. We do charge a small fee for neutering or spaying the dogs & cats (our cost). Also our cost for getting them heart worm or feline virus checked and all shots up to date. We do not adopt animals without spaying or neutering them first. Angel's rescueAngel's rescue was founded by Betty Wiley. She became concerned by the plight of dogs abandoned at a local lake, and began feeding them. Eventually she was able to catch some of the dogs, and find homes for them. Here we are today. Most of our animals are either rescued lake dogs, or are rescued from local animal shelters when their time is running out.
