St Martin de Porres' Help for Handicapped & Homeless Hounds“St. Martin’s� was formed in 2003 to help meet the needs of the neediest dogs in the world of rescue – the handicapped and homeless. The dogs are all provided with veterinary care and loving homes, either permanent or foster. In addition, the dogs are provided with any necessary rehabilitation and physical therapy. “St. Martin’s� also provides medical care to animals belonging to the poor and the elderly in the community, who otherwise would not receive any medical care at all. Puppy-Dogs-R-UsI take in the unwanted pets or homeless,get them vet checked,wormed,shots.Get them started on a heartworm & flea treatment programs. If they have heartworms I try to get donations to help pay for the treatments. If the pets are old enough I get them spayed or neutered before they leave.I teach the new owners how to care for there pets. We also take in homeless dogs or dogs that are deemed not adoptable by shelters to give them a safe haven where they will receive medical care, nutrition and love until an approved home is found.
