H.A.R.T. (Homeless Animal Rescue Team) of WisconsinWe are a dog rescue organization working together in Western Wisconsin to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals by saving one life at a time. All pets are Spayed/Neutered and current on vaccinations prior to placement. We are all volunteers with no paid staff and very little funding. We always strive to do our very best to help homeless animals. We are a FOSTER based rescue group, which means the pets in our care reside in the homes of our volunteers and not a shelter. Our common goal is to build a multi-species Humane Shelter. We do not have a shelter or centeral location, however, by contacting the foster number or email listed with each of our companions, directions and arrangements to meet can be given individually. Second Chance Alaskan Malamute Program, INC. (SCAMP)SCAMP has been giving Malamutes a Second Chance at the life of love and happiness that every pet deserves since 1990. Originally called WI Alaskan Malamute Rescue, SCAMP became incorporated in 1998 as a non-profit organization for the following reasons: To attempt to reunite Malamutes with their owners, assist breeders willing to take them back, and to aid in relocating unwanted Malamutes in permanent, appropriate adoptive homes. To create a network that will keep track of dogs who are lost or found and are being kept in foster homes or shelters, and to keep track of people interested in adopting and volunteers for foster homes. To work to prevent cruelty to Malamutes and all dogs by educating the public about responsible care, including spay/neuter and in the training of their dogs. SCAMP is operated by a group of volunteers and our foster homes/kennels are scattered throughout the state of Wisconsin. We provide most of the necessary medical care and vaccines before adoption. All dogs are spayed/neutered, and are temperament tested before adoption. Wisconsin Westie RescueMany of our Westies are from animal shelters that come in as strays or as dogs relinquished directly by former owners. Some of our dogs come from owners who can no longer care for the dog. Once the Westie is in our rescue, it is placed with a foster family who cares for the dog until it is adopted. The Westies are spayed or neutered, given all their shots, microchipped and examined by a veterinarian. Midwest Italian Greyhound RescueWe are a rescue organization run by volunteers and representatives of the IGCA (Italian Greyhound Club of America) as well as other groups dedicated to saving lives! We have been oing Italian Greyhound rescue in the Midwest for over 10 years. All our dogs are in foster homes through Southern WI and surrounding areas and placed in WI or neighboring states. IGs in our program come from a variety of sources but most are owner surrenders given up when the family is no longer able to keep their pet.
