| Greyhound Pets of America Inc. is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds. GPA/Houston operates a shelter within The Best Friends Pet Hotel. Since there is never a lack of dogs waiting for adoption, potential parents have the opportunity to meet several dogs. It is our goal to find the perfect match for both pet and owner. Except for several part-time kennel employees, we are an all volunteer organization. With over 500 active members in the Houston area, our aim is to inform the public on what excellent, loving pets these noble dogs make. 5602 Royalton St., Houston TX US 77081 Ph: 7136673804

	| Bud's Place is a retirement home for small, geriatric dogs. As you can see, sometimes we have a visitor who isn't small and certainly not geriatric, but mainly we're here for those whose owners could no longer care for them, or, sadly, were tossed away for a newer version. , Houston TX US 77082 Ph: 2814600208

	| Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston, Inc. is an all-volunteer, donation-sponsored, non-profit organization dedicated to the overwhelming task of saving the lives of abused, abandoned and unwanted Miniature Schnauzers, who have lost their homes, due to no fault of their own. Many of these dogs come to us healthy, many sick or injured. They come from shelters, off the streets, from owners who for whatever reason, could no longer care for their little ones, and puppymills, where they have never known love or felt the security of a home. Our goal: that any Miniature Schnauzer coming through our organization will never again have to face being on the streets, in a shelter, or any other dangerous situation . but will live a safe, loving and secure life in their new "forever" home. 1827 Ash Meadow, Houston TX US 77090 Ph: 2815806692Fax: 2815803561

	| Jackie McNew and Wilma Lord have been rescuing abused and homeless animals for as long as they can recall. They opened their first shelter in the Houston "Heights" area in 1999 and named it "Mr K's Halfway House for Hound".
Mr. K's is named for one of the first stray dogs they brought in. While at Kroger on Airline Drive. Wilma noticed a stray dog that was mangy and was being kicked around. Wilma picked up the abused dog and brought him home and nursed him back to health. The mangy dog, given the name of Mr. K, is now healthy, full of life and is the namesake for the pet shelter.
Mr K's now provides shelter for more than 120 dogs and cats. All animals are either spayed or neutered and are available for adoption. To operate throughout the year, Mr. K's sole supports depends on donations from individuals or businesses and adoption fees. Mr K's is a non-profit no kill shelter. 9203 Jackrabbit Rd., Houston TX US 77095 Ph: 8324891996Fax: 7138226011
