Alaskan Malamute Oregon RescueWe are a nonprofit rescue affiliated with Alaskan Malamute Assistance League who is our national parent rescue. The dogs you see here have come from owners who can no longer provide for them for one reason or another; from local shelters; or from law enforcement agencies who have removed them from abusive situations. Rescued HeartsRescued Hearts is a new animal rescue group that is serving the southeastern Michigan area. Our primary goal is to help find loving homes for rescued animals. In addition one of our main missions is to develop a spay/neuter program. This effort is too help reduce the number of homeless animals. Another goal is education. We hope to educate the public on general animal care, behavior, etc. We are working on getting our non-profit status. Our paperwork has been filed, and we hope to have our 501-3c soon. Michigan Sheltie RescueWe do not have a shelter. Our whole organization is made up of volunteer foster homes. We have dogs in foster homes all over the state. So...it is not possible to go to a "shelter" to view all our dogs. We ask that you submit an application first, and once you are approved to adopt, we will suggest a few dogs and make arrangements for you to meet them. Micahs RescueI am driven to save as many good dogs as I possibly can. I pay for all the vet work, food, flea control, HW preventative, vaccines, dewormers, toys, treats, beds, and whatever else is necessary for these dogs. Don't think that by adopting from us you do not save a life. You do, because as soon as I place one I can then go to the pound and save another . Please do not be offended when we ask for personal information and references from you; we do not want these homeless pets to return to the same situation they came out of. If you do not see what you want, ASK, there may well be one on death row I know about but am too full to take in. We only take the most stable, healthy dogs. I have to hold a job to pay for saving and caring for these dogs, and stay extremely busy, so please send a detailed email w/references so we can evaluate the situation before we spend hours trying to find you a dog. Animal Guardian Angel RescueAnimal Guardian Angel Rescue (AGAR) is a home operated organization that is committed to rescuing animals and placing them in loving and caring forever homes. Funding for AGAR comes solely from donations. Most of the animals that come to AGAR are saved from being euthanized in over crowded shelters, others are abandoned animals, or animals that are owner releases. Once in custody of Animal Guardian Angel Rescue, a veterinarian checks the overall health of the animal, and updates all vaccinations. We try to ensure that all dogs are housetrained and have some basic obedience before being placed in their adoptive homes. We are always in need of voluteers who can foster animals in need of loving homes.
