Broken Arrow Animal Shelter
We are a municipal run shelter. We are a division of the Police Department. WE ARE NOT NO-KILL. Most of our animals are picked up running the streets, getting into trash, causing accidents, viciously charging people, etc. Some are turned in to the shelter because their owner's either no longer want them or they simply can't care for them anymore. Although we are a rather small shelter, we do our best in saving as many as possible. We do work with several rescue groups that pull adoptable animals that were not adopted in the allotted time frame in which we hold them. Strays are held for 5 working days to give the owner a chance to reclaim them. After that, we reserve the right to place them up for adoption, allow them to go to a rescue, or euthanize them.Owner surrenders are available immediately for adoption, rescue, or euthanization. Our animals are given the best possible chance to get seen and get adopted or reclaimed. In addition to posting on PetFinder, we also post in the local newspaper and on the City's website at www.brokenarrowok.gov .

The Levy County Animal Services is an Animal Shelter that takes in unwanted or stray pets. We are by no means a boarding facility for the general public. Animals that are housed here are pets that someone has left to roam as a strays. The policy for this facility is to hold all animals for six working days. After which time the animal may be adopted or destroyed humanely

Poor Animals of St. Francis Inc. was established to provide responsible, permanent, loving homes to healthy pets and to maintain their health and well being by assisting families who are under financial restraints to feed and properly care for their animals. We do not operate out of a shelter. It is our goal to find a loving, caring, and safe home for every animal who is brought to the shelter. Many more animals come to our shelter than we are able to adopt out in our local area. To meet our goal, Eleanor Ravens has contacted animal shelters and rescue groups in Kansas City, Des Moines, St. Louis, Warrensburg, and other areas to see if they could place our adoptees. These shelters are not as overwhelmed with new pets and can locate excellent homes for our homeless animals. All we need to do is deliver them to the shelters or rescue groups. If you can help transport dogs and puppies, please call Eleanor. We have applied for a grant that would help us to purchase an all weather trailer designed specially to transport dogs and cats to shelters. Until then, even one trip will enable us to find good home for dogs and cats placed in our care.

Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever is an all volunteer/member Golden Retriever rescue organization serving Southeastern Wisconsin and beyond. To find out more about us, read the latest version of The WAAG.
WAAGR has no paid staff and depends on the generosity of individuals that want to help provide a safe and happy life for Golden Retrievers that for whatever reason have lost their homes. Our volunteers/members will do what needs to be done to help these kind and loving animals find the home of their dreams. It is our belief that education and staying involved in our communities is the key to great placements in great forever homes
