HOPALONG ANIMAL RESCUE is a non-profit companion animal rescue and placement service. We foster and place cats and dogs who are at risk of being euthanized by one of the East Bay animal shelters. Since 1993, Hopalong Animal rescue has faciliated placement for over 6,500 dogs & cats, kittens and puppies into new homes. However, we can't do it alone. We can rescue companion animals from the local shelters only with the help of volunteers who act as foster homes for cats and dogs. It seems that we are always in desperate need of more foster homes.

Our mission is to spread our passion compassion for Rottweilers; by educating and improving the breed's public perception and developing our website as a Rottweiler resource center.
We rescue primarily from animal shelters because no one else is rescuing Rottweilers. They often have only four days from the time they "check into" the animal shelter until they are required to "check out."
We rescue those Rottweilers deemed adoptable by our standards. We have designated foster homes for our rescues. We look for the most perfect home

Paw Printz is very careful about who we will place a dog with. The adoption process starts with you sending us an e:mail (PitbullRescue@PawPrintz.org) and requesting an application for the companion you are interested in. An interview and a home check are also required. Once everything is in order, there is a foster period where your chosen loved one will come and stay with you to make sure everyone is happy and it is a good place for everyone involved to be.

Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. (an Oregon non-profit corporation, Reg #097803-96) is an independent Great Dane rescue organization that services the needs of deaf and other special needs Danes exclusively. Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. believes it is important to give each dog a head start by not only having experienced people evaluate them, but also by jump-starting their socialization process through the use of immersion techniques. Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. uses a placement contract to protect the dogs and new owners in case there are any problems with a placement, and is always willing to take a dog back after placement for any reason. Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. will assess, train, and if possible, place any special needs Dane. Prior to placement, every Dane will be trained with the basic hand commands, including commands such as sit, down, good boy (girl), come, go, stay, no, and whatever other commands might be required.
