Adopt-A-Dog, Inc. is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization which places unwanted dogs in homes throughout Indiana and Ohio where they can live long, happy lives with a family to care for them rather than live out their remaining days at the Union County Dog Shelter where they will be euthenized. Our organization is devoted to finding homes for dogs with responsible families. The Union County shelter is very small and only able to accommodate seven animals at a time. We post both the dogs at the shelter, as well as those dogs we have in foster homes here on the website. We receive no federal funding and operate on donations from many animals lovers in Union County and around the State.

The mission of Friends of Liberty Animal Shelter is to promote the humane treatment of companion animals by way of education, humane animal population control and care for homeless, strayed, or unwanted animals. Our group survives strictly on tax-deductible contributions and is run completely by volunteers. Donations are used to fund our low cost spay/neuter program, to provide veterinary care to rescued animals, to educate the community on companion animal issues and to distribute our bi-annual newsletter.

Freckles' Friends Pet Shelter, Inc. was established in May of 2006 to raise funds to build a quality no-kill pet shelter. In the meantime, we care for abandoned pets in foster homes while we are aggressively promoting spay/neuter as the only solution to the huge pet overpopulation problem that we have in our area.

We are dedicated to finding permanent, quality homes for our adoptable animals. Those wanting to adopt an animal from us will be asked to complete an adoption application for that purpose. We strive to place each animal into an appropriately matched home. Some dogs or cats are fine with children and other pets, and may be appropriate for first time pet owners. Other animals may have behavioral issues, or be more assertive in their demeanor, requiring more experienced owners.

Animal Education and Rescue, NFP
is an Illinois not for profit organization. We are a 501 (c) 3 organization. 3. The purpose of the foundation is to help countless numbers of animals and people.
1. We speak to schools, civic organizations, and clubs about responsible pet ownership. This will include the reasons for spaying and neutering, general care, and the do's and don'ts of owning a pet. We teach pet owners about how animals communicate with each other and with humans. We have designed special programs to introduce animals to children through animal body language sessions and pet education.
2. We provide pet therapy programs. Volunteers and their pets will visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities, schools for the disabled and hospitals. (Studies have proven that overall mental and physical health of humans is improved when they are exposed to animals.)
3. We are a resource for other animal related non-profit groups. During our public speaking and through our office we will provide a list of animal shelters, foster care foundations and other animal related organizations.
4. We assist people in placing abandoned, abused and surrendered pets of all kinds.
