Second Chance FarmThe name "Second Chance Farm" about says it all. We care for all kinds of animals who come to us under many different circumstances. We limit our intake of animals to those critters who truly have no one else to look after them. So please do not contact us in hopes that we can take in your own animals or those that have come under your care. We have VERY limited space and unfortunately, there are enough "owner-less" critters out there to keep us quite busy! Most of the animals that come our way are healthy and happy from the start ... but some require medical and/or surgical attention before they are healthy enough to go up for adoption. Our goal is to give these deserving critters a SECOND CHANCE at finding a loving and permanent home. Animals that are not considered "adoptable" (due to medical conditions) stay at Second Chance Farm indefinitely - where they receive necessary medical care for the rest of their life. All of our animals up for adoption are healthy and happy, on flea & heartworm prevention, spayed or neutered and are up to date on vaccinations. Florida Great Pyrenees ClubThe Florida Great Pyrenees Club (FGPC) was formed in April, 1997, as a regional club. From that original meeting, at which there were about a dozen people, we have grown to more than 200 members. We now have members from Miami to Tallahassee! Our primary goals are: (1) to maintain and further the integrity of the breed; (2) to hold regular club meetings, matches, public education, and fun activities for members; (3) to exchange ideas regarding care, behavior, training, health, and breeding for Pyrs; and (4) to be active in Great Pyrenees rescue. Our club became affiliated with the Great Pyrenees Club of America (GPCA) in December 1999. American Lhasa Apso Club RescueWe try hard to find permanent homes for all Lhasas in need, and we are very fortunate to have within our volunteer base many people who can assist our adoptive homes with their dog’s transition to a new life. These volunteers have lived with and loved Lhasas for years and are well versed in Lhasa Apso behavior, as well as dog behavior in general. We are in constant need of FOSTER HOMES as well as VOLUNTEERS to drive dogs to the vet or make housechecks.
